Webinar on Equine Law Essentials

Foster Swift shareholder Julie Fershtman is a speaker in a national CLE webinar program titled “Equine Law Essentials: Liability, Risk Management, and Tax Strategies.” 

The webinar takes place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, starting at 1:00pm and is sponsored by MyLaw CLE. Co-presenters are Robert C. Webb, Esq., of Frost Brown Todd in Louisville, Kentucky, and Allison Eklund, Esq., of Eklund Law in Roseville, Minnesota. Fershtman’s topics will include Equine Activity Liability Acts and equine-related liability. Working in Foster Swift’s Southfield office, Fershtman’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, insurance law, insurance coverage, and equine law matters. She has tried cases before juries in four states. Fershtman is a past president of the State Bar of Michigan and currently serves as Vice President of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Widely considered to be a national leader in Equine Law, Fershtman’s clients include equine industry professionals, businesses, and organizations. She is the author of four Equine Law books and has written over 425 published articles. She has been a speaker on Equine Law topics at conferences in 29 states. Fershtman is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Michigan Super Lawyers has listed her for years as one of the “Top 100 Michigan Super Lawyers” and “Top 50 Michigan Women Super Lawyers.”
